The MTR105 is a dedicated rotating machine tester that brings Megger’s proven insulation resistance (IR) expertise together with advanced low resistance, capacitance, inductance, and rotation testing in one handheld instrument. It delivers a holistic view of motor health, enabling you to assess windings, connections, and overall condition with precision and confidence. Comprehensive testing capabilities

Built on a unified test architecture, the MTR105 consolidates multiple core measurements:

• Insulation resistance with PI, DAR, timed tests, and temperature compensation for consistent, comparable results.
• DLRO four‑wire Kelvin low resistance testing for accurate measurement of joints, connections, and windings.
• Inductance and capacitance to characterise coils and diagnose imbalance or deterioration.
• Motor direction of rotation and three‑phase supply rotation to verify correct installation before energisation.

Fast live‑voltage detection inhibits tests if hazardous voltage is present, reducing the risk of damage when connected to energised circuits or across phases. User‑selectable test terminal lockout thresholds add another layer of control, while robust internal protection supports safe use in CAT III 600 V environments.

Connected testing with CertSuite (MTR105X) 

The MTR105X builds on the proven capabilities of the MTR105 by adding Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity. This allows test results to be streamed live from the instrument to CertSuite Asset, making it easier to manage data, repeat tests, and produce reports—without changing the way tests are performed in the field. 

Using CertSuite Asset on a mobile device or web browser, results can be viewed in real time, stored against specific assets, and accessed securely from anywhere. The instrument continues to operate fully as a standalone tester, with connectivity available whenever a more streamlined workflow is needed.
